Connecting Zoom/Teams
Introduction
PerformYard's video conferencing integration lets you connect your Zoom or Teams account so you can schedule meetings with video conferencing built right in. Once connected, PerformYard automatically generates meeting links, keeps them in sync with your calendar, and retrieves meeting transcripts once your meetings end, all without leaving PerformYard. This article walks you through connecting your Zoom or Teams account, understanding the permissions each integration requires, and disconnecting your account if you ever need to switch providers.

Connecting Your Zoom Account (User Settings)
Once video conferencing is enabled company-wide, all users can link their Zoom account with PerformYard. This allows them to:
- Connect or disconnect their Zoom account from PerformYard settings
- Add Zoom video conferencing when scheduling a meeting
- Automatically generate and view a Zoom meeting link within PerformYard
- Sync the Zoom link to their calendar event (if calendar is also connected)
- Add or remove video conferencing on an existing active meeting
- Automatically receive their meeting transcript in PerformYard once the meeting ends
To link your Zoom account to PerformYard:
- To access Settings, click the up and down arrows next to your name at the bottom of your navigation, or hover over your avatar in the top right corner and click Settings.
- Select Meeting Integrations
- Under the Video Conferencing & Transcripts header, click Connect in the Zoom section

Connecting Your Teams Account (User Settings)

- Connect or disconnect their Teams account from PerformYard settings
- Add Teams video conferencing when scheduling a meeting
- Automatically generate and view a Teams meeting link within PerformYard
- Sync the Teams link to their calendar event (if calendar is also connected)
- Add or remove video conferencing on an existing active meeting

To link your Teams account to PerformYard:

- You'll be returned to PerformYard with Teams successfully linked
[New] Microsoft Transcript Opt In
Microsoft recently changed how Teams handles transcripts, requiring users to opt in rather than enabling them by default.
To allow PerformYard to retrieve transcripts from Teams, navigate to your Teams admin center and then follow these steps:
- In the left navigation of the Teams admin center, go to Meetings > Meeting settings.
- Under Transcript API access, turn the Microsoft Graph access toggle On to allow apps and agents to access meeting transcripts.
- Select Configure, and then do the following:
- To include speaker attribution in transcripts accessed through Graph API, turn the Include speaker attribution toggle On. By default, this setting is off.
- To allow or block individual apps and agents from accessing transcripts, use the link to the Microsoft Entra admin center to manage API permissions for each app.
Disconnecting your Video Conferencing Account
You can disconnect your linked video conferencing account at any time. This allows you to switch to a different video conferencing provider if needed.
When you disconnect your video conferencing account:
- Existing PerformYard meetings with video conferencing remain unaffected and will keep their generated Zoom link.
- Existing meetings with video conferencing will no longer have their transcripts automatically retrieved upon completion.
- You won't be able to add video conferencing to new meetings until you reconnect

To disconnect your video conferencing account, click Disconnect next to your linked account and confirm your choice.
