Employee Insights Setup

Introduction

With a PerformYard Talent Development license, administrators can customize Employee Insights to fit their organization's needs. Employee Insights is an always-current AI summary of an employee's performance, goals, and growth, plus coaching recommendations, drawn from everything PerformYard already knows about them, and visible to managers, chain of command, and admins.

As an admin, you can configure key settings, including whether the feature is enabled overall and whether coaching recommendations are turned on. You'll find this under Company Settings → AI Assistants → AI Insights → Employees.

Enable Employee Insights

As an administrator, you have full control over whether Employee Insights is available across your organization. From your company settings, you can enable or disable the feature as a whole using a single toggle. Turning this setting off will remove PerformYard's ability to generate employee insights for every member of your organization, meaning no new insights or coaching recommendations will be generated for any employee until the feature is re-enabled. This gives admins a straightforward way to turn the feature on when they're ready to roll it out, or pause it organization-wide if needed.

Enable Employee Coaching Recommendations

In addition to controlling Employee Insights as a whole, administrators can independently manage whether coaching recommendations are included. Disabling this setting will hide the ability for managers, admins, and leaders to get coaching suggestions for their direct reports, while still allowing the core Employee Insights summaries, performance, goals, and growth, to remain visible. This gives admins the flexibility to offer insights without the added layer of AI-generated coaching guidance, in cases where that level of recommendation isn't the right fit for their organization.
