Creating a password
If your organization allows email address and user-defined password to log into PerformYard, you will typically set an initial password via a one-time use link that you will receive in an invitation email. With that link, you will enter and confirm your desired password.
PerformYard has the following password requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- At least one character from each of the following groups: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters
- Passwords or portions thereof cannot be found on lists of commonly used passwords
When setting your password, you will see text indicating what requirements may need to be met for your password to be accepted.
Changing your password
After setting a password, you can change it by going to the Settings menu in the upper right and then selecting Change Password on the left. Here you will enter your old password, the new password and a confirmation of the new password.
Resetting your password
A user also may request to be emailed a link to set a new password. To request a new password, enter the email address associated with your PerformYard account on the login page. Beneath the password entry box, click the link Forgot Password. This will automatically generate an email sent to you from email@example.com.
Clicking Forgot Password, you will see a message that reads:
Please check your email. If the email address you entered corresponds to an active PerformYard user, an email with instructions will be sent to that address. Otherwise, no email will be generated.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If there is not a PerformYard account associated with the email address entered, no email will be sent. If you do not receive an email promptly, check your junk or spam folder, but additionally we recommend you confirm your email address is correct (e.g. free of misspellings, at the correct domain, lacking spaces) and corresponds to your PerformYard account.
