Pulse Survey Anonymity
Your Pulse Survey Answers Are Anonymous - Here's How
Your honest perspective matters — and PerformYard is built to make sure you can share it freely. Here's exactly how your anonymity is protected .
Your answers are never tied to your identity
When you submit a pulse survey in PerformYard, your individual responses are not stored or displayed with your name attached. No one at your organization — including your manager, HRteam, or company leadership — can see what you personally answered.
This is reinforced throughout the survey experience. When you receive the survey invitation email, you'll see the message:"All of your answers will be 100% anonymous."Once you open the survey itself, you'll see it again:"All answers are completely anonymous."This isn't just a disclaimer — it reflects how the product is actually built.
Results are only shown as group totals
Rather than displaying individual responses, PerformYard shows results in aggregate. This means leaders see things like "72% of employees agreed with this statement" — they never see a list of who said what.
Small groups are protected too
One of the most common concerns employees have is this: "What if I'm one of only a few people in my department — won't it be obvious how I answered?"
PerformYard has a safeguard built in for exactly this reason. If the number of responses in a particular group (like a team, department, or location) falls below a minimum threshold, that group's results will not be displayed at all. This means no one can narrow down responses to a small enough group that your individual answer could be inferred.
What your organization can and cannot see
To be clear about what leaders have access to:
They can see:
- Overall response rates (how many people completed the survey, as a total)
- Aggregated scores and trends across the organization or larger groups
They cannot see:
- Your individual responses
- Which specific answers you selected
- Any write-in comments tied to your name
Why your participation matters
Every response you submit helps your organization understand how employees are really feeling — and make better decisions as a result. The anonymity protections exist precisely so you can share your honest perspective without hesitation. If you have additional questions about how your organization uses pulse surveys or how results are reviewed, we encourage you to reach out to your HR team or manager.
