Meetings and Goals Overview
Introduction
For organizations, setting and discussing goals is a critical part of day-to-day work. To support ongoing performance conversations, PerformYard Meetings allows users to view their goals directly within a meeting. Having goals visible and manageable during the meeting helps keep discussions focused, actionable, and aligned. Managers can see both their own goals and their direct reports’ goals, while employees can review their own progress, make real-time updates, and clearly document next steps. This reduces follow-up work and supports continuous, meaningful performance discussions. Meeting participants can also take key goal management actions, such as editing goals, updating progress, and adding messages to the activity stream, as well as add goals to the meeting agenda to ensure intentional and productive conversations.

Goals Section

Within a meeting, participants can view their goals directly. When a manager meets with a direct report, they can also see their direct report’s goals. Goal visibility and permissions follow the same rules used throughout PerformYard. From the Goals section, participants can take a wide range of actions in addition to viewing goals. Users can create a new goal using the plus button, search for specific goals, or filter the list using various options. For individual goals, users can edit the goal, update its progress, add messages to the activity stream, mark the goal as complete, or archive and reopen it. This allows goals to be managed entirely within the meeting, without needing to navigate elsewhere.
Please note that the goals displayed in the Goals section follow the same visibility and permission rules as goals shown elsewhere in PerformYard, such as My Info > Goals. To learn more about goals in PerformYard, visit our goals support pages.
