PerformYard allows every user to customize their own email notifications beyond the set of default notifications your organization has established. Below are the different notifications for the three types of notification emails: Daily, Weekly, and Admin Weekly. Below each section is also a description of what you should expect to receive from PerformYard if that particular notification is turned on. 


Daily Notifications


The first page of notification settings allows you to define which notifications you’d like to get on a daily basis. You can customize each of these notifications to come one of two ways, grouped daily or sent as soon as possible (ASAP). If you choose the daily option you have the ability to select whether you will receive these emails once or twice a day as well as the timeframe in which would receive those updates. Be sure to click the save button after you make changes to your once/twice daily time slots. If you select ASAP then an email notification will be sent to you within 20 minutes of that event taking place within PerformYard. 


For each event you have three options to choose from: 

  • ASAP: You will be notified about new items within 20 minutes. 
  • Daily: You will be notified about these topics once or twice a day at times that you decide.
  • Off: You will not receive daily event notifications about this topic. 


Review Events

  • Review form about you completed -  You will receive a notification when a review form about you has been completed and ready for you to view.

  • Review form due within 24 hours - You will receive a notification when a review form is due within the next 24 hours. 

  • Review form due within 72 hours - You will receive a notification 72 hours before a review form is due.

  • Overdue review form - You will receive a notification once a form has passed its due date; this overdue form notification will continue daily for up to one week if the form remains incomplete. 

  • Review form sent back to you - You will receive a notification if a form has been sent back to you to revise or update.

  • Review form available to author -  You will receive a notification once a form becomes available for you to act on as an author.

  • Review form available to sign - You will receive a notification once a form becomes available for you to act on as a signer.


Goal Events

  • Goal assigned to you - You will receive a notification when a goal has been created by someone else and assigned to you.

  • Goal updated - You will receive a notification when a goal that is assigned to you has an update such as edits, messages, and value changes.

  • Goal due within 24 hours - You will receive a notification 24 hours before a goal is due.

  • Goal shared with you - You will receive a notification when a goal is shared with you.

  • Shared goal updated - You will receive a notification when a goal that is shared with you has an update such as edits, messages, and value changes. 

  • Goal assigned to direct report - If you are a manager, you will receive a notification when a goal has been assigned to your direct report.

  • Direct report’s goal updated - If you are a manager, you will receive a notification when any of your direct reports’ goals are updated including edits, messages, and value changes.

  • Direct report’s goal due within 24 hours - If you are a manager, you will receive a notification 24 hours before a direct reports’ goal is due.


Feedback Events

  • Received feedback - You will receive a notification when feedback has been given to you.

  • Received feedback about a direct report - You will receive a notification when feedback has been given about one of your direct reports that is shared with the manager.

  • All Organization-Wide Feedback (Recognition) - You will receive a notification whenever any other employee has been given company-wide recognition.


To-Do Events

  • To-do due within 24 hours - You will receive a notification 24 hours before a to-do is due.

  • To-do assigned - You will receive a notification when a to-do has been assigned to you.


Manager Events


  • New direct report - You will receive a notification when you are assigned a new direct report within PerformYard.


Weekly Digest


In addition to daily notifications, you can receive a weekly digest summarizing past events and upcoming due dates. You can define the day of the week and timeframe during the day you’d like to receive the weekly digest and select On/Off for individual topics to include them in it. If you select Off for each topic, you will disable your weekly digest.


Review Events

  • Review form(s) due in the next week - Your weekly digest email will include how many review forms assigned to you that are due within the next week.

  • Overdue review form(s) (author) - Your weekly digest email will include how many review forms where you are the current author that are overdue from within the last month.

  • Overdue review form(s) (signer) - Your weekly digest email will include how many review forms where you are the current signer that are overdue from within the last month.

  • Overdue review form(s) (awaiting submission) - Your weekly digest email will include how many review forms where you are a future actor (either author or signer) awaiting submission from another user that are overdue from within the last month.

  • Review form(s) to work on - Your weekly digest email will include how many review forms are available for you to work on.


Goal Events

  • Goal(s) due in the next month - Your weekly digest email will include how many goals of yours are due within the next month.

  • Goal(s) due in the next week - Your weekly digest email will include how many goals of yours are due within the next week.

  • Overdue goal(s)- Your weekly digest email will include how many goals of yours are overdue.

  • Unread goal update(s) - Your weekly digest will include how many of your goals have updates that you have not seen.

  • Direct report’s goal(s) due in the next month - Your weekly digest email will include how many goals of your direct reports are due within the next month.

  • Direct report’s goal(s) due in the next week - Your weekly digest email will include how many goals of your direct reports are due within the next week.

  • Direct report’s overdue goal(s) - Your weekly digest email will include how many goals of your direct reports are overdue.

  • Unread update(s) on direct report’s goal(s) - Your weekly digest will include how many of your direct reports’ goals have updates that you have not seen.


To-Do Events

  • To-do(s) due in the next week - Your weekly digest will include how many to-do(s) that are due in the next week.

  • To-do(s) available to work on - Your weekly digest will include how many to-do(s) are open for you to work on.

  • Overdue to-do(s) - Your weekly digest will include how many to-do(s) are currently overdue.


Manager Events

  • Direct report work anniversary - Your weekly digest will include which of your direct reports have work anniversaries in the next month.


Admin Weekly Digest


If you are an administrator in PerformYard, you can receive an additional weekly email summarizing certain changes to employee information. You can select On/Off on each topic to include it in your Admin weekly digest. If you select Off for each topic, you will disable your own Admin weekly digest. Select the day of the week and time of day when you would like to receive this email.


General Events

  • Added user(s)- Your admin weekly digest will include which users have been added in the last week.

  • Deactivated users(s) - Your admin weekly digest will include which users were deactivated in the last week.

  • Notify data field change(s) - Your admin weekly digest will include which users have had changes made to specified data fields in the last week.

  • Work anniversary - Your admin weekly digest will include which employees have upcoming work anniversaries in the next month.
